Chimney Inspections should be done annually per NFPA safety standards. Additionally, a chimney inspection is always needed before installation of a new appliance. An inspection is also highly recommended before purchasing a new home.

A Chimney Video Scan is included with every full service chimney cleaning. The technology available today is far superior to anything we have had in the past.

Chimney Sweeping is needed when a wood burning system accumulates more than 1/8" of creosote buildup. When wood is burned, smoke that passes through the chimney can cool down and solidify. Solid smoke particles are called creosote, which is a flammable substance that can cause chimney fires. Chimney sweeping is done with brushes and other manual cleaning equipment to remove creosote buildup. Sweeping the chimney also helps promote proper drafting so your fire is easier to light, drafts better and burns cleaner.

Other Chimney Cleaning and Fireplace Services are available when sweeping the chimney cannot get the chimney clean enough. Wood stoves can cause a tar-like, sticky or thick & brittle type of creosote that cannot be removed with chimney brushes. We offer chemical chimney cleaning treatments for the really tough jobs.

Mechanical Cleaning is required when the buildup of creosote cannot be removed with normal chimney sweeping or chemicals. This process is done with abrasive whips spun in the chimney flue to break off the buildup.

Chimney Liners are important to the proper function of your venting system. Older homes with unlined chimneys should be lined for added safety and performance of the appliance being vented. Damaged chimney liners should be replaced for optimum safety, and we offer relining services as well. We install stainless steel chimney lining systems that are suitable for all fuel types and all types of appliances. While we're checking your fireplace, be sure and ask us to check the chimneys venting your furnace and water heater.

Masonry Repairs are often needed on chimneys and fireplaces due to fire damage, water damage, improper construction or poor maintenance. We offer tuckpointing, parging, smoke chamber repairs, firebox repairs/ rebuilds, mortar crown repair - any type of masonry repair for your fireplace or chimney.

Gas Fireplace Inserts are the answer to many problems related to your chimney. They are energy efficient, cost little to use and will warm a room better than a wood fire or gas logs. There are a variety of gas fireplace insert styles to choose from.

Dryer Vent Cleaning and Installation
If your clothes are slow to dry, it's a good sign that your venting system is improperly installed or needs cleaning. We clean the flammable lint from the dryer and offer installation of updated venting that not only provides greater safety but also will help get peak performance and efficiency from your dryer.

Air Duct Cleaning
It is crucial to understand that your air duct system was never designed to be filled with dust, toys, pet hair, construction debris, etc. Over time, as you run your furnace and draw indoor air through the system, your ducts will get contaminated. Think of your cold air return as a giant vacuum cleaner. Whenever your furnace or A/C runs, it is "sucking" dirty indoor air through your home heating and cooling system.
