HeatShield Chimney Resurfacing System
Lindemann Chimney Service now offers an alternative to stainless steel chimney liners. We can resurface the chimney flue using HeatShield® Cerfractory® Flue Sealant.
Lindemann is one of the few select companies approved and trained by the manufacturer in the application of HeatShield®.
This chimney resurfacing system coats over the entire flue sealing the cracked or spalling flue tiles.

To restore your chimney’s flue, by resurfacing the interior, a custom made foam applicator plug is placed at the bottom of the flue and is then attached to a winch at the top of the chimney.
The first coat, otherwise known as the “tie coat”, is applied to the chimney flue walls to clean away any remaining dust and acts as a primer for the HeatShield® Cerfractory® Flue Sealant. Both materials are applied by utilizing the winch to pull the application plug up the chimney flue. This unique chimney resurfacing application method is known as “slip casting” or “slip cast extrusion”.
To complete the chimney flue restoration your Lindemann HeatShield® installer will perform an internal video scan that will verify the flue is completely sealed.

Your Certified Lindemann Technician will offer you the option of a HeatShield® fireplace lining if your system meets the installation requirements.
